What's New and what's changed

What’s New?

  • Mumps Solver
The default CPU solver is now MUMPS which is a direct solver. The newly supported solver makes CPU solving competitive to the established GPU computation

  • Maximum Displacement (Advanced User Settings)
A maximum displacement can now be defined via the Advanced User Settings. Have a look here for further information.

What’s Changed?

  • Enhanced Maximum Thickness Function
The maximum thickness function has been improved, making it more accurate. This function controls the maximum allowable thickness in the generative design process.

  • Backend Change for RBE Elements
Backend changes have been made for RBE (Rigid Body Element) elements, which are used to simulate rigid connections in finite element models. These changes involve bug fixes that improve the accuracy of these elements.

  • Mass target update
Define absolute values as the mass target for the optimisation.
