Usability Enhancements:
Standard AM materials
The standard materials in MSC Apex Generative Design are now a selection of AM materials. For a bigger set of sample AM materials, have a look at our help website.
Version number
The version number of your opened application is visible in the right bottom corner.
Tessellation adjustment
The tessellation of the Design Space is adjusted to show a better distribution of stresses on large Interface regions.
Optimization Achievement Index
The legend of the optimization achievement index is set automatically to [-1,1] to indicate the possible changes in the structure.
Upper scale limit for Failure Criterion Legend
The legend for the Failure Criterion can be easily set to 2 – giving the best overview of the optimisation result.
Highlight GD Status
The GD Status is highlighted when an error occurs.
Design Space with reparent behaviour inherits material information
When creating a Design Space by selecting an existing solid with reparent behaviour, the Design Space solid inherits the material property of the original solid.
Safety Factor Properties
The input fields in the Safety Factor properties are highlighted to give a better overview of the values that can be adjusted for the optimisation run.
Transfer Design Candidate Visualisation
When transferring the Design Candidate, the result is visible after the process is completed and the Design Space part is hidden.
Custom Tool
Import Loads from a table (Excel, csv)
The Import Loads from csv tool enables the creation of several loads based on a csv table. This is especially useful to shorten the manual work time of creating large amounts of loads.
Fixed Bugs:
MSC Apex verification workflow: The material information in case of orthotropic material behaviour are transferred to Apex so that the information fit to the global coordinate system instead of the build direction in Generative Design.
