Remote Solver Installation

A Remote Calculation Server can be used as a Remote Solver. Therefore, the Remote Solver software has to be installed on the specified server.

With the MSC Apex Generative Design installer the Remote Solver can be chosen and the respective files will be installed.

• Select the MSC Apex Generative Design Engine (Remote) if you want to create a Remote Solver

• If you want to use GPU solving, you have to select the GPU Solver Service

  • Additionally to the Remote Solver a corresponding CUDA Driver needs to be installed to realize GPU Solving.

• Select your license server or your local license-file

Open

• Select your IP Address and choose port numbers for your remote optimisation and GPU Service

Note: A Server can either be used as a Remote Solver or as the executing Application.
