This warning shows, that the chosen settings result in a high material loss and this is probably not what the user wants. The %-value is an estimation of the volume at the end of the optimization process. So it is an estimation of the amount of volume reduction between the starting design and of the iteration 64 considering the stress goal.
The model setup is probably not chosen very well and there are huge differences between the amount of forces and the set stress goal. The optimization will most likely not result in the expected and wanted geometry. Find information on how to change the parameters here.
A possible result of so much loss of material is the lost connection to the nondesign spaces in this case the optimization will give out an error and will be terminted. Please see the error messagt … for further information.
However, the connection to the nondesign spaces (because of the chosen settings) is lost which produces the right error and the calculation terminates - it doesn't make sense to continue.
The warning regarding the lost percentage was implemented to help the user choose better settings and is a kind of early warning system for the user, that the chosen parameters are not well selected and that the optimization will not end in a satisfactory result in most cases.
