Interface Tool
In the 2021.3 version we are introducing the Interface Tool which combines the Non-Design Space and the Machining Allowance Tool into one functional tool. This integration reduces the work effort for the user as the machining allowance does not need to be added manually piece-by-piece. It further guarantees a good final geometry which is expected by the user.
Scripting Trigger
Two new scripting triggers were integrated: “Pre Scenario Execute” and “Post Scenario Execute”. Especially the first trigger is very useful when adding Advanced User Settings to optimisations. The input of the Advanced User Settings or other optimisation parameters can be saved in a script to easily add these to a optimisation. Especially for parameters that are used the same way in multiple optimisations this can be very useful.
Fixed Issues
The material coordinate system is without function. The global coordinate system acts always as the material coordinate system. The global x-axis is always the build direction. As a workaround the part can be aligned using the Transform Tool.
