Downloading Files

If you are downloading from the Solutions Download Center, download the _linux64.exe file and follow these steps:

  • Copy the self-extracting archive (.exe) file to a temporary subdirectory with enough disk space.

  • Double-click on the installer and follow the prompts.

Generative Design Engine Remote Solver Installation

The remote solver is the only option available for Linux. This allows you to run the solver on a different computer than you have the MSC Apex Generative Design graphical user interface installed on. Once it is installed, you can configure other remote installations of the graphical user interface to point to this instance for remote solving.
