Software Handling

The Application Introduction Card gives an overview of the different areas of the user interface and the functions of the mouse buttons.

You can open the Application Introduction Card via Help → Application Introduction Card.

A full list of Keyboard Shortcuts is accessible via Help → KeyBoard Shortcuts (Shift + F1)

Short Cuts for specific Tools are listed in the Tools Workflow Instructions (Keyboard Shortcuts) and can be very helpful during the optimisation model setup.

Coordinate System

With the Coordinate System you can change the view of the model and rotate around each global axis.

Open

Model Browser:

In the Model Browser you can hide each solid and part individually by (de-)activating the visibility. If you click on the square on the far right side in the Model Browser, you can change the render view of the assembly/part/solid.

Copy a surfaces/solid:

To copy a surface/solid the transform tool can be used. Open the transform tool and select the transform option copy. Click on the geometry you want to copy, click on one of the arrows and input a value of 0. Then confirm your choice. The copied geometry will be listed in your model browser.

ODM Buttons to control the visiblity

To influence the visibility of different aspects use the ODM buttons on the left hand side. Especially the options in “optimization entity types display” help to control the view of the model.
