Study

A Generative Design Study is a Study for one geometry with the associated boundary conditions. When selecting a Design Space, a corresponding study is automatically created.

For a second geometry e.g. to realize small changes in the Design Space and the associated boundary conditions a second Study can be created and calculated.

Scenario

For one Generative Design Study several Generative Design Scenarios can be created. In each Scenario the optimisation parameters like Manufacturing Method, Strut Density, Shape Quality, Safety Factor, Complexity or even Advanced User Settings can be changed and varied. Moreover, different Events for each Scenario can be selected.

Event

One Event is one load case for the Generative Design Scenario. For each scenario multiple Events can be created and for each Event different Loads and Constraints can be selected. All Events will be considered for the optimisation. Furthermore, for each Event a specific Safety Factor can be set - further information here.
