When the GPU solving is activated inside the Application Settings - Generative Design Solver the CUDA solver will automatically start in the background. There are no further requirements but the existance of a GPU license. Requirement for this is the installation of the CUDA driver. More information here.
The performance of the GPU can be checked with the Windows Task-Manager. Therefore the Cuda window has to be selected:
