If the optimization is carried out on a remote calculation server, the Remote Solver can be activated in the Application Settings. Therefore, the remote software has to be installed on the remote computer as well as an Nvidia Cuda Driver. More information regarding the installation process here.

Inside the Generative Design Solver Settings the Remote Solver can be set to active. To set up the connection a Name, the IP-Address and the Port must be added. These information are determined by installing the remote software.

Furthermore, the Solver Priority for the Remote Solver can be set to GPU or CPU. More information to GPU solving here. Certainly the Complexity value can be adjusted for the Remote Solver and changed for each Scenario.

After starting the optimization, the whole calculation will run on the remote server. However, MSC Apex Generative Design has to stay active and open on the local computer in order for the calculation to continue.
