When you recognize that your optimization optimisation result is growing in an inappropriate way , than your optimization went - something is going wrong
The main reason is that the nondesign spaces for this is the tearing off and therefore lost connections of the Nondesign spaces to the Design space on which the structural loads are applied tear off and lose the connection
This results in iterations where 0 MPa stress occurIn these iterations there are 0 MPa stresses (see picture below)
...
In the following iterations the model is arbitrarily growing again due to zero stress
If
its connect again witha connection between the Nondesign space and the Design space is created anew, a stress will appear again
...
and the optimisation will go on considering all conditions and constraints applied
Steps to prevent this behaviour:
The occuring occurring stress doesn’t fit to the optimization optimisation goal
Lower the optimization stress goal of the optimisation
Increase the applied structural loads
The resolution is too coarse
Increase the Complexity for a higher resolution
Change strut density Strut Density from sparse Sparse to balanced or dense Balanced or Dense
Use the Advanced User Settings to start at a higher resolution
