When the GPU solving is activated inside in the Application Settings - Generative Design Solver the CUDA solver will automatically start in the background. There are no further requirements but the existance of a GPU license. Requirement for this is the installation of the CUDA driver and the corresponding GPU license. More information here.
The performance of the GPU can be checked with the Windows Task-Manager. Therefore, the Cuda window has to be selected:
