Jet Engine Bracket Bookshelf Tutorial
Step 1: Transfer Design Candidate & Map LBCs and Material
For this Tutorial the Bookshelf project of the Jet Engine Bracket is used.
For a Retransition to a NURBS-Geometry a non-intersected optimisation result is needed. Therefore, the Smooth-Geometry from the Post Processing can be used. Go to the options of the “Transfer Design Candidate to pre processing” Button and activate the option “Map LBCs and Material”. Then press the button to start the process.

Save the project and close MSC Apex Generative Design.
Step 2: Open Database in MSC Apex
Open the MSC Apex Generative Design database with the transitioned Design Candidate in MSC Apex.

The geometry as well as the LBCs and Material are transferred and available for the verification. The Loads are transferred to Remote Loads. Please, switch to a compliant connection to have the same assumptions as during the optimisation. Therefore, double click on the Load and set the Distribution Type from Rigid to Compliant.

Only the meshing needs to be done as the model preparation. Here is an exemplary mesh for the Jet Engine BracketBookshelf:

The model is set in the Analysis Scene (Analysis Readiness Check) and a Scenario can be created.
