The Design Space Tool is responsible for defining the Design Space as well as considering the Symmetry Constraint. The symmetry constraint is included directly at the beginning of the model setup to save time defining the boundary conditions.

By selecting a Design Space a new Design Part including one Solid and one Object will always be created. The Solid can be used to change the geometry and to apply all Boundary Conditions. For symmetrical models the Object mirrors the complete geometry with all Boundary Conditions.
