Goal of this tutorial

  • Get to know the optimisation model setup

  • Create different Generative Designs through parameter variation

...

  • Machining Allowance should be applied to every functional surface. Thus, at the end two geometries are created: The Norm-Geometry and the Print-Geometry.Even if this surface won’t be post processed in a precision machining process like milling, a Machining Allowance of 0 mm can be applied. This ensures sharp edges and planar surfaces after the intersection. Everytime when Maching Allowances are applied on all functional surfaces the automatic detection of Non-Design surfaces can be deactivated.

Step 3: Definition of boundary conditions

Step 6: Adding Adavanced User Settings

Everytime when Maching Allowances are applied on all functional surfaces the automatic detection of Non-Design surfaces can be deactivated. Thereforce, the Advanced User Settings Command is added.
